Do All Dogs Need Dog Coats?

Time:2020-01-16 Source:本站原创

Many older dogs need coats to keep them warm during the winter as they age. But not all dogs need to wear dog coats. For example, breeds such as Pomeranians, Siberian Huskies, Akitas, Newfoundlands, and even Cairn Terriers all perform exceptionally well in cold weather because of their undercoats. This is why you must do enough research on your breed to determine whether a coat is needed.

There are many advantages for your pet to wear cloth and coats:

1. Keep warm in cold weather and seasons; cold weather is an obvious example. Dogs with thin or light coats may not be able to handle the cold temperatures

of some climates without a good coat or sweater. Exactly how cold your dog feels depends on his breed, size, and age;

2. Dog coats provide an extra layer for short-haired dogs; smaller, lighter, less furry breeds are more comfortable wearing sweaters or coats.

The same is true for dogs who have just had their hair cut, or for dogs that are old or sick. Dogs that are built for the cold have an extra layer of warm fur inside their bodies.

3. Help relieve anxiety: In addition to keeping your dog warm, clothing can also help relieve anxiety. The security of a form-fitting vest like the zyzshirt can soothe anxious dogs.

Next time there's a thunderstorm in the forecast, or your town is planning a big fireworks show, try an anxiety vest.

It can play an important role in ensuring your dog feels safe and comfortable;
